Из шлака методом литья изготовляют фундамент, блоки, плиты, защитные футеровки полых металлич. конструкций (циклонов, желобов, труб и т.п.), использ. в металлургич., химич. и др. отраслях. Шлаковое л. выдерживает рабочие темп-ры до 800 °С, обладает практич. нулевой пористостью, пыле- и влагопроницаемостью, выс. химич. и корроз. стойкостью, хорошо противостоит газоабразивному износу.
